13: What is the service fee? I thought grant applications were free? While our application is free, the service to process it is not. There is a common misconception that all grant-related services are free when in reality, many foundations do and can charge a service fee. For example, the nationally recognized Amber Grant, which has been supporting Women ran businesses since 1998, charges a $15 application fee for their services, just as we do. Learn more about the Amber Grant and their mission by clicking this link: The Amber Grant | Grants for Women in Business | WomensNet While we hope to make incrediGrant free in the future, at this time, we do charge a service fee, and we sincerely appreciate your support in helping us keep our program running. Our modest service fee covers the following: 1: Application review and verification Each application typically takes about 1 hour to review and verify by a staff member. 2: Ongoing site operations and tech support Without our site, you wouldn't be able to easily submit your application and have it quickly reviewed. Instead, you would need to mail it via certified mail and will take longer to reach us/be reviewed. 3: Card payment convenience fee Card providers charge us a fee to process each card along with providing their services. If you would like to submit a free application and not utilize our online service, please email connect@incredigrant.com for instructions on how to submit a free application

14: SCORE says you can't charge a feeLink -------> How to Tell If a Government Grant Offer Is a Scam or Legitimate | SCORE SCORE states: "Grant applications are usually free, as they are sourced at the federal or state/county level with public funds. If you are asked to submit a fee to apply for the grant or learn more about it, there’s a good chance it is a scam" We wholeheartedly agree with SCORE on this statement and recommend them on our Small Business Resources page as an excellent resource for learning. Context is important in understanding grants and how they work, so let's take a closer look at SCORE’s statement; "Grant applications are "usually" free as they are "sourced" at the federal or state/county level with "public funds” “Usually” does not mean always "Sourced" refers to where the funds originate from, in this case federal or state "Public funds" refers to the specific allocation of financial resources by government entities to support programs, services, and initiatives that are aimed at addressing societal needs and promoting the general welfare of the public as a whole How does this apply to incrediGrant? We are an independent & privately funded program, a completely separate program from what SCORE is referring to We do not use or receive public funds sourced at the federal or state level We are not a state or federal grant administrator We are not a state or federal grant program We do not charge for our application, our application is free and if you would like to submit a free application, please email, connect@incrediGrant.com for instructions on how to do so Typically, a "Public Funded Program" that use "Public Funds" from the "Federal Government" or "State" must provide the service for a reduced cost or free as a requirement for receiving/using public funds Just like SCORE, we at incrediGrant also agree that if someone is requesting a fee for a grant sourced at the federal or state/county level with public funds there's a good chance it's a scam and recommend being cautious
-

You can reapply after the 6 month waiting period, but you should only consider reapplying when something significant has changed to your business model or circumstances that has positively impacted your company that you can show.
-
18: If I apply for one month and don’t receive a grant, am I automatically enrolled for the next month?Since the grants run on a month-to-month basis, applications do not roll forward and you will need to reapply each month if you are not selected and want your application to be considered the following month.

20: Are you a 501(c) ?No, incrediGrant is structured as a Limited Liability Company (LLC). The regulations associated with 501(c) status impose restrictions on the use and disbursement of funds, as well as additional requirements for grant recipients. At incrediGrant, our mission is to provide grants that offer recipients the freedom to utilize the funds without limitations, ensuring they can be applied in a manner that directly supports business growth. As such, we determined that forming as an LLC best aligns with our goals for the following reasons: Flexibility: An LLC allows us to provide grants with no restrictions on how the funds can be used, which aligns with our goal of offering unrestricted support to businesses Reduced administrative costs and time: We can focus more on the work we do instead of getting bogged down with paperwork, state required reporting, strict 501(c) regulation reporting, board meetings and volunteer management Increased efficiency: Operating as an LLC allows us to spend more time helping businesses and less time on administrative tasks Revenue generation: We can more easily engage in profit-generating activities that help fund our grant program vs a 503(c) that must follow strict rules in regard to profit making. Community outreach: We’re able to reach out to communities and businesses where they need help most, without being tied to a specific mission or pre-set restrictions Unlimited potential: We have no limits on what we can do in the future, which gives us the flexibility to evolve as needed to better serve our community.
